Therapy for healthcare workers and first responders dealing with burnout, overwhelm, and emotional exhaustion.
You take care of everyone else.
Let’s take care of you.
My Approach
I believe that we all have the capacity to heal. Therapy is a collaborative process. We will work together to understand what’s happening beneath the surface, not just manage symptoms.
You already know how to show up, push through, and take care of others. My role is to help you turn that same level of attention inward in order to better understand your patterns, your nervous system, and the experiences that have shaped you. Not with judgment, but with clarity and compassion.
Together, we will make sense of what has been weighing on you, build tools that actually work in your life, and create space for you to feel more connected, steady, and supported. The goal isn’t to get you through week by week, but to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself that you can carry with you long after therapy ends. This way you can keep showing up for others, just not at the expense of yourself.
Lisa Blechschmidt
Before becoming a therapist, I worked many years as a bedside nurse. I understand what it is like to carry the weight of other people’s lives, to push through exhaustion during long shifts, and to compartmentalize tragedy alongside the mundane tasks of day-to-day life.
You won’t have to explain the environment, the pressure, the unusual schedule or the emotional toll. I’ve lived it and I can help you process it in a way that can help it feel more sustainable.
