My Approach
Are you tired of feeling like you no longer recognize yourself or your life? Tired of feeling tired, burned out, and overworked? Working in a helping profession oftentimes means absorbing a lot of vicarious trauma, working long hours, and dealing with life and death situations on the daily.
I believe that at our core, we have everything we need to heal.
Therapy is a collaborative process. You’re here because you want to see some sort of change- in how you feel, how you experience the world, how you navigate relationships, etc. It is my honor to be the person holding up a mirror so you can see yourself more clearly. What strengths do you have that you can tap into to create change? What is standing in your way? What habits and beliefs have become so second nature you don’t even question them, let alone how they impact you?
In our work together, we will dive into the impacts of both your personal experiences, and the influence of our society. I integrate elements of psychodynamic theory, attachment theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and neuroscience to help you find new ways to cope that will lead to a healthier, more fulfilling life. These theories look at how our thoughts impact how we feel and act. They look at our ability to regulate our emotions and tolerate difficult experiences. They also give us insights into the parts of us influenced by shame and guilt that work hard to keep us safe. Ultimately, these approaches give us information about why we do what we do and tools to do things differently.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate in Washington State (MC 61376814). I completed my Masters at Northwestern University, training with a Psychodynamic lens. I have dedicated all of my professional efforts towards helping people. My experience as a nurse showed me the importance of holistically caring for people. It also showed me that the helpers of the world need help, too. That’s what I am here to do. I’m so glad you’re here.
